A year at home

After I finished High School last year, I wasn’t going to be able to travel because of the surgery, due to the period I need to rest and do all the post-surgery work. In that way, I also couldn’t go to study in Portugal, that’s one of the reasons I decided to stay home for the whole year that time. What am I doing with all this “free time”?

A year without having to study is a year that I can dedicate myself completely to Ballet. I go to ballet classes every day, including Saturdays, workout and stretch in the mornings and evenings, do theoricals dance works my teacher give to us, watch dance videos and try to improve every single detail I feel I need to. I am happy to affirm that is one of the most wonderful things you can do at your life: have and give yourself time to pursue a dream.

Since I started this year to choose what I was going to do, I am also doing gym, pilates, having swimming classes – all to complement dance and to be more capable physically -flamenco, tap and all the ballet stuff: classes, pointe, pas de deux, rehersals, competitions. And I have some space to study languages, which I absolutely love to do, so I am improving my English, studying more French and learning German, I also learned to read cirilic (the Russian words), so I can understand a bit of the things Russian ballerinas and companies are writing about.

To this text don’t be so big, these are some of the things I decided to do, so I can enjoy a year without academic responsibillities and also learn the most I can about things I like.

Hope you have a great day!
